Rex A. Yannis, MD

Dr. Yannis brings over 35 years of experience in Ophthalmic Plastic & Facial Cosmetic Surgery. His specialties include orbital, lacrimal, and eyelid surgery, as well as eyebrow, forehead, and other facial cosmetic procedures. He also has extensive expertise in lasers, light-based technologies, Autologous Fat Transfer, and a wide range of surgical facial rejuvenation techniques.

Dr. Yannis earned his B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979 and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1983, where he was on the Dean’s Honor Roll. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Texas at Galveston in 1988, serving as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas in Houston in 1989.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Prior to joining our team, Dr. Yannis spent more than a decade as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, Irvine, teaching Oculoplastic and Facial Reconstructive Surgery while maintaining a private practice in California since 1990.
