What is CoolSculpting®?

Sometimes the body stubbornly clings on to pockets of fat despite dedicated exercise regimens and healthy eating habits. CoolSculpting® body contouring is a nonsurgical way to reduce these troublesome areas of fat on nine specific areas of the body: the chin and jawline, thighs, stomach and flanks, under the buttocks, upper arms, and areas of bra or back fat.

How Does CoolSculpting® Work?

CoolSculpting® works using a technology called cryolipolysis which, simply put, is a method of freezing fat. This technology safely and painlessly freezes and kills the body’s fat cells. This fat-freezing technology leads to long-term results — once frozen, your body will naturally eliminate the dead cells.

Who is CoolSculpting® For?

When you are close to your ideal body weight, CoolSculpting® is an excellent way to reduce stubborn fat pockets. In fact, CoolSculpting® is the #1 nonsurgical fat reduction treatment used by doctors.

Does CoolSculpting® Hurt?

During your procedure you may feel some pulling, tugging, pinching, intense cold, stinging, tingling, aching, and mild cramping at the treatment site. CoolSculpting® is a nonsurgical procedure, making it an excellent alternative to cosmetic surgery.

CoolSculpting® Safety Information

CoolSculpting® is not intended as a weight loss treatment. CoolSculpting® should not be used by patients suffering from cold agglutinin disease, cryoglobulinemia, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. Side effects of CoolSculpting® include swelling, blanching, temporary redness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, bruising, cramping, aching, itching, skin sensitivity, and a sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after chin/jaw treatment. These side effects are typically mild. For a full list of side effects, consult your CoolSculpting® healthcare provider prior to treatment.
